KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 25, 2009) - The sixth annual
Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals is shaping up to be a showdown this
October 1-2-3, with the following groups taking center stage:

NASCAR Stars: Ryan Newman (Indiana), Tony Stewart (Indiana) and Kenny
Schrader (Missouri) vs.

Past Late Model Nationals Champions: Brian Birkhofer (2004), Scott
Bloomquist (2005), Brian Shirley (2006), Brady Smith (2007), and Tim
McCreadie (2008), vs.

Knoxville Veterans: Billy Moyer (4 Knoxville wins), Jeff Aikey (2 wins),
Jimmy Mars (2 wins), Darren Miller (2 wins), and Darrell Lanigan (2 wins),
vs.

The World: Josh Richards (World of Outlaws point leader), Chad Simpson
(World Dirt Racing League point leader), Steve Francis (World 100 winner,
WoO champion), Denny Eckrich (WDRL champion), Justin Fegers (WDRL champion),
Dan Schlieper (World 100 winner), and many, many others.

According to Knoxville's director of racing Ralph Capitani, "This year's
Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals is shaping up to be one of the best
ever, which says a lot considering the fireworks provided last year by Tony
Stewart and Tim McCreadie. We have some of the best dirt late model drivers
in the world returning for this year's $40,000-to-win National Championship.
Of course, we're looking forward to the reappearance of talented racers like
Ryan Newman of Indiana and Kelly Boen of Colorado, who haven't raced at
Knoxville for years. It will be interesting to see if we get our first
repeat winner of this 100-lap event on Saturday, October 3."

Additional fan fest attractions this year include a free concert with
country sensation Bridgette Tatum Saturday afternoon. Bridgette has teamed
up with Ryan Newman this year to promote her new CD due to be released in
September. The driver meet and greet will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday,
October 3rd. Following the races on Friday night, October 2nd there will be
music and festivities as well.
