Travis Rutz Benefit Information
As many of you have heard, Pacific Northwest/Canadian based sprint car driver, Travis Rutz, was seriously injured while racing at Terre Haute on Sunday, September 27th. He remains hospitalized in Indianapolis, Indiana where his family is by his side. Medical bills and travel costs are mounting, so several fund raisers have been organized to support Travis and his family.
On November 7th, there will be a large scale fund raiser in his hometown of Langley, British Columbia. The organizers of this event are looking for racing related donations to add to the fund raising event's silent auction. Travis Rutz, of Langley, BC, Canada, was injured in a Sprint Car Racing accident Sept 27th, while competing in an All Star Circuit of Champions race in Terre Haute Indiana. Travis has raced his way up through the ranks starting in Aldergrove’s Langley Quarter Midget Association at a young age of 7. He has continued to amaze onlookers with his exciting and winning driving style and his no surrender attitude which moved him up the ranks. As a young 21 year old race veteran he has won hundreds of main event races in quarter midgets, 250cc Mini Sprints, 1200cc Mini Sprints, and sprint cars, as well as racking up many track records and championships on his way. He is well established as one of the elite, taking competitors by storm all over the US and Canada.
Travis was Life-Flighted from the Terre Haute Action track and delivered to the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Indiana. He and his family remain there, where Travis is listed in critical condition with extensive injuries.
