Farm Bureau Mid-Season Championship Saturday at Knoxville Raceway!

(Bill W) Knoxville Raceway is gearing up for its Farm Bureau Mid-Season Championship this Saturday night! All three sprint car divisions will be on hand, and if the action so far this season is any indication, a great night of racing entertainment is in store for those in attendance!

Time has flown by this season, and one of the tightest point battles ever for the Lucas Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series is unfolding at the famous 1/2 mile oval. 2007 track champion "Blackjack" Brian Brown has driven his own machine into the lead. Veteran Don Droud Jr., who drives the Gil Sonner #47 is just five points back heading into Saturday! Lynton Jeffrey, "Dynamite" Mark Dobmeier and Bronson Maeschen are not far behind the leaders, and are poised to make a move, as well! Among the number of visitors expected this week are Wayne Johnson, who recently purchased a 410 to do battle with the regulars, and "The First Lady of Sprint Car Racing" Erin Crocker!

Defending champion Clint Garner has been consistent all season, and that has put him back out front in the point standings in the 360 class. Johnny "Lightning" Anderson, "The Shocker" Dustin Selvage, "The Beav" Dennis Moore Jr. and Josh Higday are all trying to climb the ladder, as well. Joining the action will be the 305 sprints. Six-time track champion, "The Rim Rider" Randy Smith won the last 305 outing.

Hot laps get underway Saturday night at 6:45 p.m. For ticket information, visit www.KnoxvilleRaceway.com or call 641 842-5431!
