Rain Forces a Cancellation of World of Outlaws Knoxville Shootout

Knoxville, Iowa - June 25 - With qualifying time trials at the half-way point, a strong thunderstorm descended upon the Knoxville Raceway forcing the Mediacom World of Outlaws Shootout to be canceled Saturday night. What started as a light and brief rain event quickly escalated into a strong driving rain. At this writing, the rainstorm has lasted for nearly an hour.
The event will not be rescheduled.
