According to Knoxville Raceway director of racing Ralph “Cappy” Capitani, “We are very pleased to again be partnering with these four world-class sprint car racing venues Down Under. They are capably managed by Lewis Dawson at Western Springs, Bruce Robertson at Palmerston North, Willie Kay at Baypark, and David Mills at Warrnambool. American drivers now know where they have to run in order to be eligible to compete in next year’s Premier Chevy Dealers Knoxville World Challenge on the eve of the Goodyear Knoxville National Sprint Car Championship. Of course, international sprint car drivers from Australia, Canada and New Zealand will continue to be eligible for the Knoxville World Challenge simply by competing in the Knoxville Nationals itself. The starting line-up for the 2011 World Challenge will remain a sixteen-car inversion based upon a driver’s qualifying night points.”
