Knoxville Championship Cup Series Point Fund Second To None!
(Bill W) Drivers have been running in weekly competition for almost 60 years now, and the reason is clear. The Knoxville Championship Cup Series point fund is tops in weekly dirt track racing. Thanks to great sponsors including Lucas Oil and Goodyear, this year’s point fund for the 410 and 360 series alone totaled close to $150,000 (see point fund below).
The contingencies handed out at last weekend’s banquet (including eight chassis) were just part of the equation (see winner’s list below). The point fund was the other. 2011 is stacking up to be one of the best chases for the Knoxville Championship Cup Series title in track history. Several veteran drivers have expressed their intentions of chasing the title next season, joining a solid crop of young drivers who are coming into their own. Knoxville Raceway’s website, located at www.KnoxvilleRaceway.com will feature drivers in all three classes in a way not seen before. Fans will be able to track their favorite drivers both at Knoxville, and anywhere they choose to race. Stay tuned to the website for the latest on the 2011 season as we continue to make improvements!
