CODEMAN MOTORSPORTS 92c UP DATE 4/17/2011
Will Cody Amber was all nerved up and excited to finally get his first opportunity to get started in his sprint car career the weekend was filled with mixed emotions.
Friday 4/29/2011
In Cody’s excitement and being anxious he tried to get out with the 360 class. Thanks to John Egan, who has been working with Cody he was able to point him off the track for his own safety.
Finally the time has come to let it all out.
In his first time being able to get the HARMON AUTOGLASS, REEDS AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, Lazer Car Wash, QTC AND ENGLISH CREEK SPEEDWAY 92c up to speed the car looked great. Cody was able to gas it up and have fun. When returned to the pits his comment was how did I look? In other words he was so nervous about just getting around the famed half mile he fore got to enjoy it.
As the night went on Cody seemed to be getting more and more comfortable with each lap. At the end of the night when all was said and done he called his grandfather and left the message (we were able to roll the car in the trailer). His grandfather is always saying if you can roll your car in the trailer and had fun it was a great night.
Practice night at the famed Knoxville Raceway went real well, the car looked great right out of the box.
First Points Race 4/30/2011
After a light night Friday with getting the HARMON AUTOGLASS, REEDS AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR,Lazer Car Wash QTC AND ENGLISH CREEK SPEEDWAY 92c cleaned and checked out the time had come to load up and head for the famed half mile. As the team drove through the gate you could almost feel the electricity in the truck. Someone asked, Cody are you scared and his comment was I am just excited to be here. This is a good time to thank the people that made possible Shawn Goodno of Goodno Promotion for the use of an engine and also HARMON AUTOGLASS, REEDS AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR,Lazer Car Wash QTC and ENGLISH CREEK SPEEDWAY.
The night started out real will with the HARMON AUTOGLASS, REEDS AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR,Lazer Car Wash QTC AND ENGLISH CREEK SPEEDWAY 92c setting fourth on the board for time after the completion of hot laps. The car and driver looked as they had been together for years.
Come heat race time the decision was made to make some changes to try and keep up with the changing track conditions. Will that is when thing went in a whole different direction.
Lining up third, second row inside we felt we had a good chance for a top three finish in our first sprint car race. It was just not to be as we made contact with turn 4 wall and ending or night.
I guarantee you that with what we learned in the past few days the HARMON AUTOGLASS, REEDS AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR,Lazer Car Wash, QTC AND ENGLISH CREEK SPEEDWAY 92c will be back.
