Point Leaders from U.S., Canada & Australia enter Brodix ToC

Adam West of Southern Ontario Sprints (SOS). Brett Milburn of Sprintcar Control Council of Australia’s Avalon/Premier (SCCA-A/P) Series. Bryan Howland of the Patriot Sprint Group (PSG). Lance Yonge of Empire Super Sprints (ESS). Loren Langerud of the WISSOTA Promoters Association. Curt Michael of the United Racing Club (URC). Jesse Giannetto of the Sprint Invaders Associaition (SIA). Brian Brown of the Eagle Sprint Touring Series (ESTS) and American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Midwest Region. These current point leaders have all entered the 7th Brodix Tournament of Champions (ToC) invitational, set for Sunday, August 7, at Knoxville Raceway, which is winged 360-cubic-inch sprint car racing’s version of major league baseball’s ‘All Star Game’.

In addition to these, the top racers from the following sanctioning affiliates are also expected to enter the $5,000-to-win Brodix ToC by the July 26th entry deadline: Knoxville Raceway (KNOX), ASCS National Tour, ASCS Southern Tour, ASCS Sooner Region, ASCS Rocky Mountain Region, ASCS Gulf South Region, Northern Sprint Tour (NST), Sprints On Dirt (SOD), National Racing Alliance (NRA), Winged Outlaw Warriors (WOW), and National Championship Racing Association (NCRA). Unfortunately, the Montana Sprint Tour (MST) has suspended operations for 2005 and will not receive invitations to participate in this year’s Brodix ToC.

The 2005 Cox Design and Metal Fabrication Southern Iowa SprintWeek will open with four straight nights of 360 sprint car racing at Knoxville Raceway. The Thursday-Friday, August 4-5, Knoxville 360 Nationals, sponsored by John Deere and NAPA, will pay $10,000 to win and be shown on the Speed Channel. The Saturday, August 6, Casey’s General Stores Night will pay $2,500 to win the 360 feature, and will also include a full program of 410 c.i. sprint cars. Finally, the Sunday, August 7, Brodix Tournament of Champions invitational will offer a 30-car, 30-lap, $5,000-to-win feature race with the best-of-the-best from the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
