Nate's 1st Feature Win

It was 360 Twin Feature night at Knoxvlle Raceway. In Nate's 360 hot laps/time trials Nate was 7th quick with a 16.234. This gave Nate the 4th position in the 1st heat race. On the last lap, Nate and the #54 of Casey Friedrichsen battle for the fifth and final transfer spot. Coming into turn 3, Casey jukes down from the high side and takes the line away from Nate, getting the final transfer spot for the A Main. This puts Nate in the B Main running in the third spot. After falling all the way back to 7th, Nate doesn't give up and earns back a spot as the 8L of Tom Lenz bobbles and taps the wall coming out of turn 2. After a caution with two laps to go, Nate is fifth for the green-white-checkered. Nate quickly finds his way around the #7TAZ of Tasker Phillips on the white flag lap and gets the 4th trasfer spot to the A Main. Nate starts 10th row inside for the first A Main. When the checkered flag had dropped, Nate had passed 7 cars and moved up to the 12th spot. For the 2nd A Main, Nate started in the 7th position. The 45c of Russ Hall gets upside down in turn 2 of the first lap causing a complete restart. Nate falls back all the way to 10th before the next caution, but giving up is not one of Nates strong qualities. Every lap after that Nate passes car after car until a caution comes out with 5 laps to go where he is running 5th. On the first lap, Nate passes the #51 of Dave Hall for the 4th spot. On the next lap Nate passes the #21K of Lou Kennedy Jr for the 3rd spot. On the next lap, Nate and the #2 of Josh Higday fight for the 2nd spot and coming out of turn 2 Nate passes Higday and runs away with it. Only one car left to pass. Coming out of turn 4 with 2 laps left, Nate and the #2L of Logan Forler are neck in neck. Nate found the bottom side and the lead for the white flap lap and for the first time in his racing career at Knoxville Raceway Nate takes the checkered flag by 10 car lenghts.
