Welcome to the FULL ACCESS www.knoxvilleraceway.com Web site. The objective of this new Web site is to give fans, competitors, and media FULL ACCESS to everything that has made Knoxville Raceway the most recognized short track in the world.

Full access to over 50 years of racing history built around “Hot Rods”, Midgets, Stock Cars, Modifieds, Sprint Cars and Late Models driven by names like Foyt, Unser, McCluskey, Wolfgang, Gordon, Stewart, Weld, Lasoski, Kinser, Katona, Hutcherson, Hartman, Saldana, Kahne, Opperman, Swindell, Blaney, Yeley, Newman, Bloomquist, Moyer and Birkhofer. The stories, the race results and photographs will be available to everyone with the click of a button as captured during the events from heats to features. The pictures are from the archives of numerous photographers that have helped Knoxville Raceway to capture the action year by year.

Knoxville Raceway continues to create racing history every year with the 5th decade of the Knoxville Nationals, the continued growth of the Pepsi/Mt. Dew Midget Nationals, 15th Annual “360” Nationals, and the new Knoxville Late Model Nationals. Speed Channel coverage of key events during the year brings more drivers from more places in North America, Australia and New Zealand, as well as more fans.

Complete information on ALL of the 2005 events is presented in detail from the concept, history, past and current champions…to the formats - qualifying, points, transfers, and prize monies. For invitational events like the Brodix Tournament of Champions and the Clean-O World Challenge, the requirements for racing at other locations across North America, Australia and New Zealand are spelled out. Even “Happenings” that coincide with these events are covered – from pancake breakfasts to parades to free picnics.

Driver biographies on all present competitors with up-to-date race results and points will be supported by on-the-spot views and news about each event. During each race event live line-ups and results for time trials, heats and features will be posted as they happen.

The Links section connects directly to the racing organizations and race tracks across the USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand that participate in the major events during the season. The Sponsors section connects directly to the many companies that support the 35 nights of racing each year at the Knoxville Raceway.

News and feature articles are written by a host of contributing editors including Bill Wright, Web site Editor, Bob Wilson, Track Historian, Arleta Voyce, Office Manager and Tony Bokhoven, the “Voice of Knoxville Raceway” for a decade, and part of the Speed Channel broadcast team.

When you visit www.knoxvilleraceway.com today you’ll find the foundation of information for each category. For history buffs, Bob has written an overview piece on the facility going back to 1900. The “History Photo Gallery” already has over 90 photos with more being added daily and weekly. Detailed race results for 2002, 2003 and 2004, including every heat, time trial and feature for EVERY event run, are included. Additional years will be added on an ongoing basis. Driver bios are growing everyday.
