Knoxville, IA – July 7, 2005 – By Bruce Neimeth - The 2nd Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals and the 25th Annual Dirt Track World Championships have come full circle since running on the same dates in 2004. For 2005 Vermeer Manufacturing Company, a worldwide supplier of agricultural, environmental and construction equipment, headquartered in Pella, Iowa will sponsor the Vermeer “Deuces Wild” Bonus that will pay the $15,000 to a driver and team if they can win both 100-lap main events in 2005.

According to Tony Briggs, Marketing Communications Manager for Vermeer, “over the years our customers and employees have benefited from our relationship with Knoxville Raceway. The new late model championship program reaches a different fan base and we are sure many of them are again our employees and customers. We think this bonus program will help bring more drivers and fans to both events. And the Speed Channel broadcast of the Knoxville event will give the Vermeer brand good exposure.”

According to Ralph Capitani, Director of Racing for Knoxville Raceway, “both events are basically using the same set of rules, and we are both unsanctioned. We run two weeks apart, and are about 500 miles apart. Hopefully this bonus will encourage more drivers and teams to pre-enter both events, as fans will travel to see their favorite drivers compete against the best from across the country.”

The only requirement to be eligible for the Vermeer “Deuces Wild” Bonus is that the driver and team must pre-register for the 2nd Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals no later than September 1, 2005, and the DTWC no later than October 1, 2005. Entry forms and reserved seat tickets for the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals on September 29 & 30 and October 1st are available on line at www.knoxvilleraceweay.com. Entry forms and advanced tickets for the 25th Annual Dirt Track World Championships at KC Raceway in Ohio on October 13-16 are available at www.dtwc.net.
