John Hall Racing gets back on track

Saturday, June 30, 2012
MARION, IOWA (June 30, 2012)—John Hall and his Left Turn Enterprises Racing Team finally got back on track after more than a month off on Saturday, June 30, at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

Due to mechanical troubles with the truck that pulls the team's race car trailer and a couple of nights when rain canceled the races, Hall had not been racing since mid-May. But a trip to Knoxville for Twin Features Night in the 360 division didn't really go as well as the team hoped.

Hall started the night with a lap around the hallowed half-mile race track of 17.006, which was only enough for 26th out of the 30 cars in attendance in his division. That put him on the tail to start his heat race and he finished ninth. That put him in the night's B-Main, where he finished in 10th place after mechanical problems continued to plague the car. And that kept him out of the night's twin features.

This marks Hall's 25th anniversary season of racing at the Sprint Car Capitol of the World in Knoxville, where he earned the Rookie of the Year title in the 360 division in 1988. Hall runs a Maxim Chassis with Parker Engines. The car is owned by Charles and Doris Hall.
