John Hall Racing continues on despite struggles

Sunday, July 15, 2012
MARION, IOWA (July 14, 2012)—John Hall and his Left Turn Enterprises Racing
Team returned to action at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, July 14, and had a night of ups and downs.

The night started off on a decent note when Hall turned a time-trial lap of 16.325 seconds around the half-mile dirt. That was good enough for 12th place out of the night's 27 competitors. Hall started third in his heat race and finished sixth, which was enough to make the invert for the A-Main in the 360 division. He would have started 10th in that race, however issues with the car's setup continued to plague the team and Hall elected to start at the tail of the 24-car field with the ill-handling race car. He finished 22nd after retiring early from the race.

A good note to the night was that the team won the free racing fuel donated by Dennison Racing to one team in each division per night.

This marks Hall's 25th anniversary season of racing at the Sprint Car Capitol of the World in Knoxville, where he earned the Rookie of the Year title in the 360 division in 1988. Hall runs a Maxim Chassis with Parker Engines. The car is owned by Charles and Doris Hall.
