John Hall Racing competes with Sprint Invaders

Sunday, August 19, 2012
MARION, IOWA (August 18, 2012)—Just when John Hall and his Left Turn Enterprises Racing Team thought they might have ended this season of racing, things turned around and Saturday, August 18, found the team headed to 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa. There, they ran with the Sprint Invaders Association on the “Night of the Twins” which featured two main events.

The night started with a draw that put Hall sixth on the grid to start his heat race. The car did not like the setup and bicycled, leaving Hall with a seventh-place finish. He started fifth in the B-Main and finished fifth, so it was fortunate that five cars made the transfer to the twin mains.

In the first feature, Hall started 20th and finished 17th. He would have started near the front of the second feature but elected to start at the tail because of the car's handling issues. He started 17th and finished 17th in the second main.

Next up will be finishing off the Knoxville Raceway season on Saturday, August 25, in Knoxville, Iowa, when the Lucas Oil Championship Cup Series has its season championship.

This marks Hall's 25th anniversary season of racing at the Sprint Car Capitol of the World in Knoxville, where he earned the Rookie of the Year title in the 360 division in 1988. The car is owned by Charles and Doris Hall.
