Opening Night Postponed to April 27th

Due to over 6” of rain earlier this week and continued cool temperatures, the Lucas Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series event scheduled for April 20th has been postponed to April 27th.
“I want to race as bad as anybody but we don’t want to make our first night of action at the Raceway a big question mark for our drivers.” Stated Knoxville Race Director John McCoy. “The 410 class will be on a new tire, we have 6 rookies, absolutely no laps on the track for anybody and a forecast high temperature of 43 for 8 PM tomorrow night. All these issues combined make opening night a large hurdle for us and all of our competitors.”
The Pella Motors Race For Your School Night coupons may be used on the April 27th season opener and kids will get in free again as well.
