Oklahoma Relief

Wednesday, May 22, 2013
J Kinder and crew are doing some very important work and giving back. Kinder and crew are getting a trailer loaded with donations for the people in Oklahoma affected by the tornado. We want to help them collect donations this Saturday at the Lucas Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series Titan Machinery Night.

There will be an area set up by the ticket entrance where you can drop your donation. Items that have been asked for are work gloves, water, gatorade, ready to eat snacks/food, canned food, toiletries of any kind, pet food, batteries, flashlights, blankets, diapers, baby food/formula, sunscreen, paper plates, plastic cups, plastic forks/spoons/knives. Cash donations will be used to buy the supplies listed, we will not be delivering any money to the shelters.

"All we have been told is not to send clothes and only new items," said Kinder. "We are planning to take the 1st load on Wed or Thurs of next week, unless the trailer is full before then. We have teamed with a group called Convoy for Hope out of Springfield, MO. They are connected with the local churches in the affected area and set up delivery locations and help with the drop off details. We can stop on the way out of the pits after the races and pick up anything that is donated. Thank you for the help!! If anyone has any questions they can reach me at 573-896-0202."
