Knoxville Raceway welcomes Winged Nation

Knoxville, Iowa (7/9/2013) – On August 7-10 during the 53rd FVP Knoxville Nationals, the Knoxville Raceway is pleased to welcome “Winged Nation” the MotorRacingNewtork.com radio program. Each night the show will broadcast live on stage with hosts Steve Post and Kendra Jacobs from 6:00pm-7:00pm central daylight time, where they will preview the racing action leading up to hot laps, and review the previous nights on track action. There will be drivers and other guests to be interviewed each night on the Winged Nation stage, along with discussion of all of the fun activities during the day off the track, such as our favorite food items, and Tony Stewart’s Kick-It Cup Tournament kick-ball game on Friday at Young’s Park, and the go-karting event at Slideways Karting Center on Wednesday. Both events are benefits to raise money for the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation and childhood cancer research.

“I’m really excited to have the Winged Nation party come to the Knoxville Nationals,” said Eric Arnold, Blogger and Social Media Commentator for Knoxville Raceway. “Steve and Kendra are terrific ambassadors for our sport and they won the National Sprint Car Poll Media Members of the Year award last year. They will enhance the fan experience at the Nationals in a positive way, and they will be happy to meet and greet with the fans off the air, and with their love of race track food they will be able to steer you in the right direction for food selections!”

You can listen to Winged Nation each Tuesday at Noon Eastern, and 11:00am Central, at MotorRacingNewtork.com or you can download their podcasts on iTunes. Come join the Winged Nation crew as there will be plenty of activity for the live audience to witness!
