Swindell and Madsen are the Victors in Knoxville's Summer Classic Prelim

Knoxville, Iowa (July 22) Sammy Swindell and Kerry Madsen came home the winners in the two Summer Classic feature events at Knoxville Raceway Friday night. The preliminary finishes will be awarded points and will decide the lineups for the Classic finale on Saturday night. The top 16 drivers in points will draw for starting positions in Saturday's Summer Classic A Main. The top sixteen in points were: Brian Brown, Sammy Swindell, Randy Hannagan, Kerry Madsen, Joe Beaver, Wayne Johnson, Chad Meyer, Mike Reinke, Dusty Zomer, Kaley Gharst, Colin Northway, Kevin Huntley, Ryan Anderson, Tim St. Arnold, Jake Peters and Calvin Landis.
