Free Clean-O World Challenge Picnic on Tuesday, August 9th

The free-to-the-public Clean-O World Challenge picnic will again take place on the Tuesday afternoon prior to the Knoxville Nationals on the grounds of the Marion County Fairgrounds. The picnic, which allows fans from around the world to meet the international sprint car racers competing in the Clean-O World Challenge, takes place from 1 until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9th. Oval Express publisher Jon Evans of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, will serve as emcee for the annual affair.

Native Californian Brad Sweet is the latest sprint car racer to enter the Friday, August 12th Clean-O World Challenge. Sweet qualified for the 12th annual international invitational by competing in the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at the Premier Speedway at Sungold Stadium in Warrnambool, Victoria, in late Janaury. Besides Sweet, other Americans entered in the World Challenge and expected at the picnic are Brent Antill, Randy Hannagan, Donny Schatz, Daryn Pittman, Billy Alley, Jason Johnson, Shane Stewart, and Travis Rilat.

Amongst the Australians entered in the $10,000-to-win Clean-O World Challenge are “Skip” Jackson, Lynton Jeffrey, Jaymie Moyle, Brooke Tatnell, and Kerry Madsen. Entered New Zealanders include Jamie McDonald, Bill Clarkson, Jr., Stevie Walsh, and Ben Finemore. Canadian entrants expected at the picnic are Cody Geldart, Travis Rutz, Jack Pillon and Ryan Coniam.
