Picture yourself driving down the highway, the top down, feeling the warmth of the sun upon your face. Well, stop dreaming! You can live it! The Midwest Ford Dealers, Knoxville Raceway, and Stepping Stones Early Learning Center have joined forces to give away a 2005 Mustang GT Convertible Premium during Speed Channel’s live broadcast of the 45th Annual Knoxville Nationals presented by Midwest Ford Dealers on Saturday, August 13, 2005.

Raffle tickets for the Mustang will be available for purchase Wednesday, August 10, through Saturday, August 13, only! Raffle tickets are $10 each. Only 7000 tickets will be allotted for this raffle. Consolation prizes include Knoxville Raceway gift certificates. With only four days to purchase tickets, fans are encouraged to buy early!

The Sonic Blue 2005 Mustang GT Convertible Premium, valued at over $33,000, is loaded with a V8 engine, automatic, leather trim bucket seats, power driver’s seat, ABS traction control, air conditioning, 6-disc CD with MP3 player, anti-theft system, power windows and power locks.

Marv Perry, Chairman of the Des Moines Area Ford Dealers, explains the rarity of this car, “The 2005 Mustang GT Convertible is a rare find. The Midwest Ford Dealers are limited to the number of convertibles they can order. This will be a great opportunity for one lucky race fan to take home such a fine automobile.”

Proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets will go to benefit the building of a new day care center/preschool in Knoxville. The Stepping Stones Early Learning Center will be located adjacent to West Elementary School. The 15,000 square-foot child care and preschool building will be designed to accommodate up to 200 children six weeks to five years of age and house the Drake University Head Start program. Pam Mahoney, Director of the Stepping Stones Early Learning Center, will head up the team of raffle ticket sellers during the Knoxville Nationals.

You can find the Mustang GT raffle ticket booths at the following locations at Knoxville Raceway on the Marion County Fairgrounds: the Ford display, the pit shack, infield concession stand, north side concession stand, and under the main grandstand.
