Knoxville, Iowa – Chad Morgan, crew chief for Brian Brown Racing during the regular season, took the round two victory and $350 in prizes in the Knoxville Regulars Virtual Spring League on Thursday, April 16.

Forty-one teams entered the event that was hosted by United Dirt Sims Series and Pushin’ the Cushion Productions. More than $1,500 in cash and prizes were awarded.

Morgan showed his skills early by setting quick time with a lap 15.010. Jamie Ball, Carson McCarl, Justyn Cox and Johnny Anderson claimed heat race wins. Morgan’s real-life driver, Brian Brown, won the B-Main to transfer into the 40-lap A-Main.

Morgan dominated the feature event, taking the lead early and pulling out to a straightaway lead at one point. A couple of cautions bunched the field together, but Morgan was able to pull away each time. He took the checkers by 2.285 seconds over second-place finishing Cox.

Following his win, Morgan announced that he would generously donate his winnings back to Knoxville Raceway for the purpose of giving fans more Casey's Pizza on opening night of the 2020 race season. Meaning eight more rows of Casey’s Pizza winners!

The event was organized by Knoxville Raceway drivers Matthew Johnson, Ball and Kade Higday. Tony Bokhoven continues to bring the voice of Knoxville to the virtual league.

Round three of the Knoxville Regulars Virtual Spring League will be held next Thursday, April 30, at 7pm CT. If interested in sponsoring the event or contributing to the purse, email Johnson at NewEraAdvertisingLLC@gmail.com.
