Knoxville Late Model Nationals late entries must sign in Thursday

Knoxville, IA – With pre-entries approaching last years level we want to let all late model drivers and teams that don’t like to pre-enter know that they are welcome. Last year we had over 30 “arrive and drive” entries and we had plenty of room for them on the grounds and in the infield. This year will be the same.
However, drivers and teams not pre-entered must sign in on Thursday afternoon, September 29th, and be ready to race. This is so we can balance the field for both qualifying nights. The entry list and assigned qualifying nights are updated daily on the home page at www.knoxvilleraceway.com.
Each of the preliminary qualifying nights are complete programs with time trial, inverted heats, C, B and A –mains. The purse each night is over $22,000 with the A-Main paying $6,000 to win. The top 24 in points from both qualifying nights go right to the 100-lap Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals feature event. The remaining six starters will come from the series of non-qualifier mains on Saturday.
