ADN to Broadcast 2nd Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals

(September 27, 2005 - Mitchell, SD) The American Dirt Network, presented by ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems, will begin three nights of live coverage of the 2nd Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals this Thursday night from the historic Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. The broadcasts will begin at 8:30 pm Eastern (7:30 pm Central) all three nights, Thursday through Saturday.

American Dirt Network Director of Late Model Racing Steve Zwemke will be joined in the booth by Tom Lathen. Lathen, who serves as Media Director for the PolyDome World Dirt Racing League, brings a wealth of racing knowledge to the broadcast team. As part of Lathen's WDRL duties, he is the series' traveling announcer. He has also announced at several tracks throughout the Midwest. Zwemke and Lathen will be joined by The American Dirt Network's Donn MacArthur who will broadcast from Knoxville Raceway's infield. MacArthur has worked with Zwemke on many WDRL and Wissota Late Model Challenge Series broadcasts and knows late models inside out. His understanding of late model race cars will help listeners feel like they are at the show!

Muscatine, Iowa's Brian Birkhofer, the inaugural race winner, will be back to defend his title in a field that includes the best of the best in dirt late model racing. Birkhofer will be up against late model aces like Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tennessee; Earl Pearson Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; Dan Schlieper of Sullivan, Wisconsin; Steve Francis of Ashland, Kentucky; Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Georgia; Billy Moyer of Batesville, Arkansas; Kyle Berck of Marquette, Nebraska; Donnie Moran of Dresden, Ohio and Rick Eckert of York, Pennsylvania, just to name a few.

Plus, some of the top young guns in the country will try to capture the $35,000 top prize. Josh Richards of Shinnston, West Virginia; Justin Allgaier of Springfield, Illinois; Joey Tanner of Portland, Oregon; Brian Harris of Davenport, Iowa and Trent Follmer of Elk River, Minnesota, represent some of the top young late models drivers the United States has to offer.
