Benefit for Knoxville Fan Lori Howard on Saturday

Sunday, January 22, 2006
from Chad Adams - Ever heard of Hoserville? Well back in 1997, a California group of hoseheads.com fans started a Hoserville Club. Their motto was “It’s an attitude, not a place”. Well as I was informed of a particular person in need of some help, I decided to help out. Isn’t this the reason why sprint car racing fans are the best fans anywhere in the world? As I started to dig thru some old notes, I really started to get some friends involved. The response has been huge. I know personally that the individual in need of help has been tears when her great friend, Patty Orr, mentioned to her some of the items we have came up with.

We are going to have a special night, for a great race fan from the sprint car capital of the world (Knoxville Raceway).

Lori was diagnosed with cancer during the 2005 racing season. After many treatments, times have been tough for Lori and her family. Since knowing Lori, she has always looked up to me a sprint car fan and all my memories. Well I want to use my knowledge of 26 years of racing to see what a great fundraiser that the whole racing community can give her.

These past several years have been great for Lori, as husband Mark & son Logan have traveled to some USAC, ASCS, SCRA, WoO along with every Knoxville Raceway weekly shows as possible.

We are having this event at Knoxville armory, located by Hy-Vee and behind Caseys
