from James Essex, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Public Relations - Officials of the Knoxville Raceway and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are pleased to announced that the nationally known series will make its' debut at Knoxville as part of the "Iowa Telecom Classic" on Friday Night, July 21. There will be a complete show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with time trials, heat races, B-mains and the $10,000 to win main event. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is beginning its second full season of sanctioning dirt late model racing across the country. In 2006 the series has scheduled 32 events so far at 23 different racing venues. The series first ever stop at Knoxville will be the first of three throughout America's heartland July 21-23. After the visit to Knoxville on Friday the series heads to the brand new Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO on Saturday Night and a Sunday Night, July 23 visit to the Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL (Just outside of St. Louis) completes the weekend of racing action.

Officials from the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have also announced that they again will be supporting the Third Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, September 28-30 as the series will not hold any scheduled events that weekend so their drivers can participate in this special event. The 2006 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season officially begins on Friday Night, February 3 at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA with a $10,000 to win event followed by six consecutive nights of racing in the 30th Annual Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL, February 6-11 with over $225,000 in prize money up for grabs.
