By Bruce Neimeth – Ticket Director, LLC has joined Brian Stewart Racing as a sponsor for Geoff Dodge’s #33 Indy Pro Series Fast Track to Indy car for the 2006 season. Geoff Dodge, the 2005 Knoxville Nationals Fast Track to Indy Rookie of the Year, earned a ride with the 2005 Indy Pro Series Championship team at all six of the oval track races including the Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 26th.

Ticket Director, LLC based in Bloomington, MN has been working with Knoxville Raceway since early 2005 to develop a new state-of-the art electronic ticketing system for online, phone and point-of-sale customers. According to Tom Eakins, Ticket Director CEO, “Working with Knoxville Raceway has allowed us to apply our expertise in technology and systems development with a single facility that represents both the small to medium sized venue in staffing and hands-on approach with customers, and the large venue with annual seat sales of over 200,000 units. This has shortened our learning curve in a market that we consider a prime growth opportunity from the 4000 seat facility to the 100,000 seat and up facility.” Tom went on to say, “The recognition and respect that fans, competitors and other venues, large and small, have for Knoxville Raceway and the staff made the decision to support the Fast Track to Indy program easy.”

Ralph Capitani, Director of Racing at Knoxville Raceway had been looking at moving to a new ticketing system for a number of years, but until 2005 never felt the circumstances and timing was right. “Finding the right supplier in any upgrade is important. Moving to this type of system involves changes at the heart of our business; our long-term employees, our long term customers and our cash management. We were fortunate in selecting Ticket Director. They stay with us on every detail, are quick to respond to expected and unexpected problems that any new program experiences, and they are creative in how things work for our employees. I’m glad they are joining us on the Fast Track to Indy program as we try to send another Knoxville Raceway competitor to the Indy 500.”

Geoff Dodge, a 22 year old student at Colorado State University, grew up in Colorado Springs, Colo., watching his father Dick drive sprint cars and compete in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. He also watched the Indianapolis 500 on television, dreaming of the day he would be among the 33 starters. To take advantage of the Fast Track to Indy opportunity he has put his studies on hold this year and relocated to Speedway, Indiana. When not installing drywall to pay his rent he makes himself available to the Indy Pro Series, IRL and his sponsors to support their activities.
