The 17th annual National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) induction weekend in Knoxville kicks off on Thursday, June 1, with the traditional “open track practice” for non-winged midget and winged sprint cars. The practice session will run from 7 until 9 p.m. at Knoxville Raceway, and will feature many of the stars of the United States Auto Club (USAC) Pepsi/Mt. Dew Knoxville Midget Nationals and the Hoosier Tire Midwest Masters vs. Young Guns Challenge for 360-cubic-inch sprint cars. In addition, many of the top competitors from the American Racing Drivers Club (ARDC), Midwest Auto Racing Association (MARA), Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association (RMMRA) and Southern Midget Racing Series (SMRS) are expected to be present in order to get 'dialed in' for Friday night’s King Doodlebug Midget Classic and Saturday night’s Knoxville Midget Nationals.

Those seeking more information on the Friday-Saturday, June 2-3, weekend of midget and sprint car racing at Knoxville Raceway are urged to visit the track’s web site at www.knoxvilleraceway.com. Those wishing to reserve Saturday afternoon, June 3, NSCHoF induction banquet tickets should call the museum toll-free at 1-800-874-4488.
