140 Sprint Car Drivers "Inversion Eligible" for 2006 Factory Value Parts World Challenge

One-hundred-forty (140) sprint car drivers are now ‘inversion eligible’ for the $10,000-to-win Factory Value Parts World Challenge at the Knoxville Raceway. Of the 140 drivers, at least twenty-four (24) are expected to enter and participate in the 46th annual SuperClean Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals, August 9-12, and the 13th Factory Value Parts World Challenge, August 11. The ‘top 16’ qualifiers will be fully inverted for the 20-lap international invitational, which could feature such Americans as Brian Brown, Craig Dollansky, Donny Schatz, Daryn Pittman, Jason Johnson, Brad Sweet, Blake Robertson, Chad Kemenah, Kurt Winker and Paul McMahan.
Amongst those 140 international drivers that are ‘inversion eligible’ are Tim Gee, Chris Schmelzle, Jeff Hodgson and Jesse Dakus from western Canada; Glenn Styres, Adam West, Rick Wilson and Alain Bergeron from eastern Canada; Stevie Walsh, Allan Wakeling, Kerry Jones, and Havard Daniels from New Zealand; and Brooke Tatnell, Max Dumesny, Garry Brazier and David Murcott from Australia. International drivers that race at the Knoxville Nationals but did not compete in an international qualifier will be eligible to race, but they can start no better than 17th on the Factory Value Parts World Challenge grid. Amongst those Aussies that missed the World Challenge qualifier in Australia, but are expected to be at the Knoxville Nationals, are A.J. “Skip” Jackson, Kerry Madsen, Trevor Green and Lynton Jeffrey.
2006 Factory Value Parts World Challenge qualifiers have been held at the Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; the Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada; the Powerbuilt Speedway in Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand; the Premier Speedway on the grounds of the Sungold Stadium in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia; and the Todd & Pollock Speedway on the grounds of the Baypark Stadium in Mount Maunganui, North Island, New Zealand.
