The 46th annual SuperClean Knoxville Nationals, presented by the Midwest Ford Dealers, is less than six weeks away and all the top teams in winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car racing have entered the $140,000-to-win “Grand Daddy of Them All”. Amongst the paid entrants for the August 9-12 open-competition extravaganza are World of Outlaws (WoO) point leader Donny Schatz in his family’s ParkerStore #15 sprinter, National Sprint Tour (NST) point leader and four-time Knoxville Nationals champion Danny Lasoski in Dennis Roth’s #83 sprinter, NST runner-up Tim Kaeding, 20-time WoO champion and 12-time Knoxville Nationals champion Steve Kinser, defending Knoxville Nationals champion and current NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular Kraig Kinser, 22-time Central Pennsylvania track champion Fred Rahmer, and 4-time All Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC) champions Chad Kemenah and Kenny Jacobs.

According to Knoxville Raceway director of racing Ralph ‘Cappy’ Capitani, “We’ve always billed the Knoxville Sprint Car National Championships as the ‘Grand Daddy of Them All’ and the ‘Gathering of the Clans’ at the ‘Sprint Car Capital of the World’, but it’s never been more true than this year. We have the best-of-the-best from both the WoO and NST circuits entered, in addition to the cream-of-the-crop from the major ‘410’ and ‘360’ regional tours. The field this year for the Speed-televised national championships will be second to none, guaranteed, as we’ll have both the best quality and highest quantity of international teams anywhere gunning for our record $894,515 purse.”
