13 Current Point Leaders Enter Brodix ToC

Want to bet which winged ‘360’ sprint car sanctioning body has the top talent in the nation? Hold your bets until after the Sunday, August 6, Brodix Tournament of Champions at Knoxville Raceway as the current point leaders from thirteen sanctioning affiliates have already entered the $5,000-to-win event to uphold their sanction’s honor. Amongst the point leaders to signal their intentions to compete in the international invitational are

Justin Barger of New York with the Empire Super Sprints (ESS),

Garry Chippindall of Victoria, Australia, with the Premier-Avalon-SpeedwayCity Series (PASS),

Tim Gee of Alberta, Canada, with the Alberta Sprint Tour (AST),

Chuck Hebing of New York with the ASCS Patriot Sprint Group (ASCS-PSG),

Ken Mackey of Michigan with the ASCS Sprints On Dirt (ASCS-SOD),

Randy Martin of Missouri with the Winged Outlaw Warriors (WOW),

Sean McClelland of Oklahoma with the ASCS Sooner Region (ASCS-S),

Curt Michael of Delaware with the United Racing Company (URC),

Jake Peters of South Dakota with the Knoxville Raceway 360’s (KNOX),

Nick Smith of Oklahoma with American Sprint Cars on Tour (ASCoT),

Darren Stewart of Oklahoma with the ASCS Mid-South Region (ASCS-MS),

Matt Sutton of Illinois with the Sprint Invaders Association (SIA), and

Chuck Swenson of South Dakota with the ASCS Northern Plains Region (ASCS-NP).

Of course, another six sanctions are sending some of their high-ranking teams out to Knoxville, too. Some of those heavy-hitters are:

Roger Crockett of Oregon, second place with the Northern Sprint Tour (NST),

Steve King of Kansas, second place with the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA),

Tim Allison of Ohio, third place with the National Racing Alliance (NRA)

Tom Winegardner, Jr., of Florida, fourth place with the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) Dirt Cup,

Lee Sowell of Mississippi, fifth place with the USCS Mid-South Region (USCS-MS), and

Rick Ideus of Iowa, sixth place with the ASCS Midwest Region (ASCS-M).

To date, only five participating sanctions have yet to have a driver entered for the Brodix Tournament of Champions and they are ASCS Gulf South Region (ASCS-GS), ASCS Rocky Mountain Region (ASCS-RM), ASCS Southern Tour (ASCS-ST), Southern Ontario Sprints (SOS), and Western Australian Sprintcar Drivers to America Series (WASDAS). The final entry deadline is Midnight on Wednesday, July 26, and the number of entries is expected to grow from its current number of 62.
