by Bill Wright – As you have seen if you’ve been visiting www.KnoxvilleRaceway.com lately, we’ve made some improvements and updates to the website, thanks to HostIowa.net and the folks at Knoxville Raceway. We hope the new, larger, menu bar on our homepage is easier to navigate, and can get you the information you need as efficiently as possible.
Many things are going on behind the scenes as well to continue to build on the reputation our site has as the best in the dirt track business. Our online ticket sales are going smoothly, and have been updated to respond even faster to ticket requests. By clicking on the “Online Tickets” logo on the homepage, you can order tickets to any of our special events including the 46th Annual Knoxville Nationals and 3rd Annual Late Model Nationals.
Pre-entries are being added daily in our “Events” sections. Just click on the event logo you are interested in on the right side of the home page to find pre-entries, formats, purse breakdowns and more for all of our special events.
Historical data is updated weekly as it happens in the “History” section. Scroll the pull down menu in the upper right-hand corner for historical information, and click “Historic Results” for race by race coverage of results dating back in history. All of this data is being added as we go, so be sure to check back often. 1988 will be added soon!
Our “Photos” section is updated every race week, so check in on the latest Pit Photos, as well as work from track photographers, Dave Hill, Conrad Nelson, Dennis Krieger and Doug Johnson. In the “Drivers” section get the latest information and photos of your favorite drivers in the point standings. For drivers outside of our point standings, you can get the same info by clicking on their name in “Results” or anywhere their name appears on www.KnoxvilleRaceway.com. These bios are being updated on a daily basis, so check back.
Our “Hospitality” section lists area hotels, restaurants, campgrounds and area attractions. Our “Schedule” section also gives ticket price information. “Contacts”, “Links”, “Entry Forms” and “Rules” all have their own space as well.
