Maier, Wright, Rilat & Allison Add Firepower to Brodix ToC

Defending Brodix Tournament of Champions (ToC) winner Garry Lee Maier of the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA), two-time and defending North American 360 Sprint Car Poll “Driver of the Year” Gary Wright of the American Sprint Cars on Tour (ASCoT), three-time National Racing Alliance (NRA) champion Tim Allison, and former American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) champion Travis Rilat are the latest hot-shoes from the midsection of the country to enter the August 6 Brodix ToC at Knoxville Raceway.

According to Knoxville director of racing Ralph “Cappy” Capitani, “There won’t be a better value in the country than the $15 general admission on Sunday, August 6, at the Brodix Tournament of Champions invitational in Knoxville. With the final entry deadline of Midnight, Wednesday, July 26, fast approaching, we already have 81 teams entered representing 19 different sanctions and utilizing one common set of technical rules. The additions of Garry Lee Maier, Gary Wright, Travis Rilat and Tim Allison to a field that already included the likes of Curt Michael, Roger Crockett, Jessica Zemken, Jake Peters, Tim Gee, Chuck Hebing, Sean McClelland, Darren Stewart, Chuck Swenson, Ken Mackey, Justin Barger, Ryan Jamison, Tom Winegardner, Jr., Lee Sowell, Garry Chippendall and Randy Martin will make it THE show of the ‘360’ season.”

Other recent entrants include Danny Horner of the Northern Sprint Tour (NST), Joe Beaver of Knoxville Raceway, Chad Humston of the ASCS Midwest Region, Lee Grosz, Brett Geldner and Mike Sitzmann of the ASCS Northern Plains Region, Dave Anderson of the Sprint Invaders Association (SIA), Matt Fox of the Winged Outlaw Warriors (WOW), and Kevin Welsh of the United Racing Company (URC). The official invitations to the $5,000-to-win Brodix ToC, which is part of the August 3-12 Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Southern Iowa SprintWeek, will be issued by Noon on Friday, July 28 by the staff of the dirt track. Those drivers that are entered and are not eligible to compete will receive a full refund of their entry fees.
