Landis takes Friday non-qualifiers' show at the Knoxville Nationals

Arizona native Calvin Landis, who became a Knoxville transplant to run weekly
at the Knoxville Raceway several years ago, nearly retired from racing at the
end of last season due to lack of funding.
But friends and family scraped together enough to keep him going and on
Friday, August 11, Landis took home the $5,000 win in the non-qualifiers' main
event at the 46th annual Knoxville Nationals presented by Super Clean, Midwest
