1986 Results Posted

by Bill Wright - Danny Lasoski took the first of seven track titles in 1986, driving the Rogers 49. His margin of victory was over 1000 points more than the second place driver in the standings, John Stevenson. Steve Kinser took his fourth Knoxville Nationals, joining Doug Wolfgang and Kenny Weld as the only drivers to pull off the feat.

Wayne Redmond made history in the 360 class, by completing the first father-son duo to win Knoxville championships, joining his father Stacy, who took the 1984 360 title. Redmond took six victories in edging the second place runner, Mike Chadd.
