Knoxville Raceway Announces 2007 Tentative Schedule

by Bruce Neimeth – Knoxville Raceway’s 2007 tentative schedule reflects the long standing position as “Sprint Car Capital of the World” while continuing to grow participation in other exciting motorsports categories that expand the fan base and attendance.
Highlights include:
• 36 nights of on-track activity from mid-April to late September.
• Introduction of the Knoxville Championship Cup Series for “360” and “410” Sprints with 16 Championship Cup Points events for each class.
• Moving the USAC Pepsi/Mt.Dew Knoxville Midget Nationals to late June with multi-sanction support.
• Increasing the winners share of the 47th Annual Knoxville Nationals to $150,000.
• Expanded support for the Knoxville “360” Nationals as the opening for Southern Iowa Speed Weeks.
• Expanded participation of the “305” Sprints as a support class for special events.
• Expanded support for the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals with continued participation of top drivers across the country.
