Knoxville, IA - Kathy Bell has joined the Knoxville Raceway as a Contributing Editor. Kathy has been a sports, news and race reporter in Knoxville since 1984. A Knoxville native, she assisted Publisher Jay Brooks and her brother, Perry Bell, Editor, in founding the "Knoxville Dirt Digest" in the mid-1980's. She also co-founded the original "Race Talk" with Perry and former owner, Mike Roberts. She has penned her own racing column, InLappedTraffic since 1992.

Kathy presently covers sports and racing for the "Knoxville Journal-Express" and "Pella Chronicle" newspapers. She also writes for "Hawkeye Racing News", "FlatOut" magazine and columns on "Hoseheads." During the day, Kathy is the Director of Utilization Management at the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.

In addition to her role as Contibuting Editor, Kathy is the Knoxville Raceway Press Room Coordinator for the Knoxville Nationals and the Late Model Nationals. She also worked as the electronic scorer for the Knoxville Raceway. She has attended races at Knoxville since the early 1970's.
