- Iowa DOT Press Release IA 5/92 Marion County - Work will begin on IA-92 at the interchange with IA-5 in Knoxville, beginning just west of White Breast Creek and ending at the end of the 4-lane east of Knoxville. Weather permitting Manatt’s of Brooklyn, IA, plan to begin working on the reconstruction of the eastbound lanes tomorrow, Thursday, May 31. Traffic will be placed head-to-head in the westbound lanes with 12 foot lane width restrictions during the day and will remain head-to-head until the project is completed in the fall. Signs will be posted to assist travelers entering and exiting Knoxville as well as how to navigate the lane changes.
When approaching this, or any, work zone, think safety. Drivers need to pay attention to changing conditions, leaving enough room between other vehicles, limiting cell phone usage and being sure to have seat belts buckled.
