This Week at Knoxville – June 8th – 15th

– A busy week at Knoxville Raceway starting with Round #8 of the 2007 Knoxville Championship Cup Series Saturday night. Dusty Zomer has regained the “410” points lead by 100 points over Brian Brown while Jake Peters has a 7 point lead over Josh Higday in the “360”s. This Saturday’s $30K purse should see over 60 cars signed in.

Racing starts at 6:45pm with ticket prices at $12.00 for Adults and $3.00 for children 14 and under. As always, Pre-school kids are free.

• The new 2007 Knoxville Nationals T-shirts will be in stock on Monday along with the 2007 Knoxville Raceway Ts and the Collectors Edition Raceopoly board game.
• Friday night the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will race for $10K to win. We expect top drivers from a number series as they use the event as a tune up for the $220,000 Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals in September. The 305 winged Sprints will use this as a tune up for the 305 Mid-States Championship running with the Late Model Nationals.

• Individual night reserved seats are available now for the 4th Annual Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals on September 27-29, 2007 feature Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman taking on the best Late Model drivers across the USA.
