Higday & Dobesh take "360" Championship to the edge!

Friday, August 31, 2007
Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway will see two 1st time Champions crowned for the 2007 season. While Brian Brown has locked up the "410" Cup Series, Josh Hidgay and rookie Bryan Dobesh are only 41 point apart in the "360" Cup Series. The maximum points available to any driver in one night is 141.

Last Saturday night saw both drivers turn the wick up on the track, with Dobesh fighting an ill handling car to hang on to 3rd, while Higday had to come from 15th place to a top 5 finish to keep retain his points lead. Either way, the new "360" Knoxville Champion will have earned the title the right way - a mix of consistency and hard driving.

Josh, from Des Moines, IA, is as calm and laid back as you’ll find, in and out of the car. Both driver and the 2X team, a Snodgrass family operation, are methodical yet friendly and open all the time. On the track Josh picks his spots and shows lots of patience as he moves forward. He has earned the respect of his fellow drivers.

Bryan Dobesh. a rookie from Sioux Falls, SD, is aggressive yet controlled on the track. He’ll “worry” you once you know he’s near you. With the usual rookie mistakes behind him, and a trip to Knoxville’s Victory stage this year, the championship should go down to the final feature on September 1st. The 13L team, again a family operation, is excited but not surprised by their success in 2007. Attention to details with lots of smiles from everyone makes life fun for the driver.
