Newman & Schrader take on three past champions tonight

Knoxville Raceway, Knoxville, IA - Ryan Newman and Kenny Schrader will represent the NASCAR Nextel Cup drivers tonight when they take on Brian Birkhofer, 2004 Champion, Scott Bloomquist, 2005 Champion and Brian Shirley, 2006 Champion. Add Billy Moyer, many time champion of 100 lap main events at Knoxville - throw in Jimmy Mars, recent winner of "tune up" events - and about 60 more of the best Late Model Drivers from across the USA. This just might get exciting.
While we are talking about NASCAR, when Tim McCreadie left Knoxville last year he had a lump in his throat - and two bent up race cars. As Tim said, "the only thing that didn't hit me out there was the water truck". This year he has been a development driver for Richard Childress Racing, and last week end finished 21st in the Busch race at Dover.
Tonight's racing begins at 6:45pm with hot laps for the Late Models and the 305 Mid-States Championship Sprint Cars. Admission is $20 for General Admission, $30.00 for Reserved and kids 14 and under are 1/2 price. For more information call (641) 842-5431.
