Oct. 22, 2007 - The following changes will be made to the rules in both classes competing at Knoxville Raceway during the track's 55th season of racing in 2008.

Wings: All top wings that ran in 2007 will be legal until July 1, 2008. After July 1 the wings must have square center foils and side panels. Either dipped wings (2 1/2" max) and/or flat top wings will be legal for 2008. After July 1 side panels must be square with the top two corners set at 90 degrees with no variance. The maximum allowed turnout on all edges must not exceed 1 1/4".

In 2009 all top wings must be flat with square center foils and side panels. Note that for all World of Outlaws shows the top wing must conform to their regulations. No foils or rudders anywhere on the top wing.

The only cockpit adjustable device allowed in 2008 will be a wing slider for the purpose of moving the top wing forward and backward only.

Tires: For 2008 the 360 class will run on the ASCS right-rear Hoosier Racing Tire stamped Medium or Hard 105 X 16. The left-rear minimum tire will be the D 12. No rd 12s allowed. Other left rears from different manufacturers are allowed with prior approval.

For the 410 class the right rear will be the sc 15 Hoosier or harder. On three pre-selected nights we will run the sc 25 on the right rear. The left rear will be the D 12 or harder. No RD 12s allowed. Other left rears from different manufactures are allowed with prior approval.

2009 proprosed rules will include a maximum 2 5/8" injector size restriction for the 410 class.
