(Bill W) - Continuing our quest for historical results, stories, points and more, we have added the 1982 season to the "Historical Results" section. You can now find results from 1982-2007 by clicking on either "Results" or "History" and then clicking the blue "Historical Results" link at the top of the page!
In 1982, Tim Green partnered with legendary car owner Bob Trostle to win the season championship. The pair won four times and edged the second place car of John Stevenson by a mere 20 points. Local Mark Shaffer won an "unofficial" World of Outlaws show in September, Steve Kinser made it three in a row in winning the 22nd Annual Knoxville Nationals, Sammy Swindell swept both main events on Twin Features night, and Sheldon Kinser was victorious when USAC came to town.
