Website Update from the Editor

Work continues behind the scenes and around the clock for many of us here on knoxvilleraceway.com. Our goal is to make the site fully functional by race season. One of the things that I have been working on as editor over the winter is making sure we’re getting as many accurate and complete results (including starting positions where possible) from the past. Want to know what the point standings looked like in 1978? No problem. I have taken great joy in looking back and doing some detective work with the help of our historian, Bob Wilson, to uncover some hidden gems. Past results will be added on an ongoing basis, and we will uncover all that we can about this famous half-mile. They will eventually be found in the “History” section. I’ll keep you updated as to when they begin to go online. The most recent results will appear first, and years will be added as we go back in time with our research.

As things are added to the site, we’ll be notifying you where you can find the information you need as a Knoxville fan. One section we are working overtime to complete is our “Drivers” section. I think you will enjoy what you see. We are making an effort to get “up close and personal” with the Knoxville regulars you so eagerly cheer for every Saturday night.

What has the driver done in the past, and what goals do they have in the future? Does the driver have a website? Where can we find them in the points standings? Who sponsors the team? These are just a few of the questions you’ll have answers to in our “Drivers” section.

You will continue to see more and more photos added to our “Photos” section. Take a look at the photos in the “history” category, and if you can identify them, send us an e-mail.

Keep an eye on our "news" section. We will keep you updated concerning the events surrounding Knoxville Raceway and the website.

If you are a Knoxville 410/360 competitor, and you haven’t received a “Knoxville Driver Bio Form”, please e-mail me at editor@knoxvilleraceway.com, and I will get one out to you to complete. I’ll be back with updates from time to time, so stay tuned. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line!
