NATIONAL SPRINT CAR HALL OF FAME (NSCHoF) INDUCTION BANQUET TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (February 19, 2008) - While May 30-31-June 1 might still seem like a long way off to many, staffers at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) are busy planning the nineteenth annual NSCHoF induction weekend in Knoxville. According to executive director Tom Schmeh, “The official invitations are being mailed this week to this year’s inductees, past inductees, the board of directors, and the National Induction Committee members. The Saturday afternoon induction banquet tickets are now on sale to the general public, too, for twenty dollars apiece. We are very excited about welcoming this year’s class of inductees into the Hall, including Louis ‘Rusty’ Espinoza, Glenn Fitzcharles, Bob Hampshire, Doug Howells, Dick Jordan, Brent Kaeding, John Padjen, Earl Wagner and Kramer Williamson.”

“In addition, we look forward to hosting the families and friends of Melvin ‘Tony’ Bettenhausen, Johnnie Parsons and Gordon Schroeder. It’s shaping up to be another magical weekend with many past inductees expected, including Walt James, ‘Buzz’ Rose, Lynn Paxton, Ralph Capitani, Bob Trostle, ‘Speedy’ Bill Smith and others. And then for Knoxville Raceway to be hosting three classes of winged sprint cars that weekend, the 305’s, the 360’s and the 410’s, plus the age-fifty-plus ‘Masters Classic’ sprint car event, it should just be another huge weekend at the 'Sprint Car Capital of the World',” said Schmeh.

Those individuals wishing to purchase induction banquet tickets are encouraged to call administrative assistant Lori DeMoss at 1-800-874-4488. Those seeking more information on the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame are encouraged to visit the web site at www.sprintcarhof.com.
