WHAT
• The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series returns to action this weekend with a pair of events in the upper Midwest. On Friday, April 25 the series will make their first of three visits to Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota, followed by a stop at the legendary Knoxville Raceway in Iowa on Saturday, April 26, which will be the first of three nights of racing at the track this season for the World of Outlaws.

Donny Schatz, the two-time defending series champion won at both tracks last season, en route to winning a series best 19 A-Feature events. The North Dakota native is currently in his first season driving for Tony Stewart Racing and is solidly in the third position in the championship standings, with six Top-10 finishes in the first six events of the season, including four runner-up performances.

Terry McCarl, who has six track championships at both Huset’s Speedway and Knoxville Raceway, was victorious with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 2007 at the famed half-mile in his home state as well last season. He is currently tied for fourth on the tracks all-time win list with 43 triumphs and is sixth in the World of Outlaws standings entering this weekend’s events. McCarl is the winningest driver at Huset’s Speedway and won with the series at the high-banked 3/8-mile in 2006.

WHEN

• On Friday, April 25 at Huset’s Speedway, the Pit Gates will be open all day, while the Grandstand Gates will open at 4 p.m. Central, with Hot Laps tentatively set for 6 p.m. Central with time trials to follow.

• On Saturday, April 26 at Knoxville Raceway, the Pit Gates will open 4 p.m. Central, while the Grandstand Gates will open at 6 p.m. Central and Hot Laps are tentatively set for 6:45 p.m. Central with time trials to follow.

WHERE
• Huset’s Speedway is located in Brandon, South Dakota. Take I-90 east of Sioux Falls to exit 406, then go south three miles on State Road 11.

• Knoxville Raceway is located in Knoxville, Iowa, at the north edge of town on State Road 14 (located on the Marion County Fairgrounds).

TICKETS

• On Friday, April 25 at Huset’s Speedway, Adult tickets will be $32, with tickets for Juniors (ages 8-14) $10, while children 7 & under will be admitted free of charge. • On Saturday, April 26 at Knoxville Raceway, General Admission tickets for adults will be $25, with General Admission tickets for children just $12.50.
