Sprint Car Action Heats Up at Knoxville Raceway Saturday Night!

(Bill W) The action will be in high-gear again this weekend at the Knoxville Raceway! Last week, 35 of the best in the business gathered in the 410 class, and more of the same can be expected this Saturday on Wal-Mart Night! For great entertainment for the whole family at an affordable price, Knoxville is the place to be on Saturday night!

Last week, Knoxville was “Sioux Falls South” as drivers from the South Dakota city swept both features! Justin Henderson, just one of the drivers who has pulled off the World of Outlaws tour to join us at Knoxville on Saturday nights, won his first career feature event here in the 410 class. Gregg Bakker repeated his opening night win with the 360s, and has quickly become the man to beat in that competitive series.

Henderson and Bakker lead the point standings in the early going, by the strength of their wins, and both will get plenty of competition this week. The 410 field promises to be stout again with the likes of previous track champions Billy Alley, who was second last week, Brian Brown, Skip Jackson and Danny Lasoski expected.

Newcomers to the fold last week included Wayne Johnson, who will be competing at Knoxville regularly through late June, Randy Hannagan and North Dakota’s Greg Nikitenko. Knoxville rookies Brandon Wimmer, Josh Schneiderman and Dion Hindi all qualified for the 24-car main event. Throw in weekly favorites like Brooke Tatnell, Mark Dobmeier, Jake Peters, Calvin Landis, Jeff Mitrisin, Lynton Jeffrey and the rest of our all-star cast. It’s getting harder and harder to make the show for these drivers, so don’t miss all of the action as our 410 class tangles this Saturday night!

The 360 class will not take a backseat as far as action goes, and Bakker is expected to be joined by defending champ, Josh Higday, last week’s second place finisher, Bryan Dobesh, Ryan Roberts, Joe Beaver, Dave Hall, Jesse Giannetto and many more! Be there!
