Concord, NC— June 2, 2008

WHAT
• The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series makes their second stop of the season at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Iowa this weekend for two full nights of racing, which will serve as a final tune-up before the 48th Annual Knoxville Nationals in August. Also on the docket this weekend will be an event at Tri-City Speedway in Illinois which was postponed by rain in May. This will be the series first visit to a 3/8-mile track this season.

Donny Schatz, the two-time defending Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion will lead the way into the trio of events this weekend, fresh off two wins last weekend in Ohio that vaulted him into the lead in the series championship standings. Both of the events at Knoxville Raceway will be taped by SPEED for broadcast on June 15 and June 21.

WHEN

• On Friday, June 6 at Knoxville Raceway, the pit gates will open at 4 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 6 p.m. Central, with hot laps set for 6:45 p.m. Central.



• On Saturday, June 7 at Knoxville Raceway, the pit gates will open at 4 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 6 p.m. Central, with hot laps set for 6:45 p.m. Central.



• On Sunday, June 8 at Tri-City Speedway, the pit gates will open at Noon Central, as will the grandstand gates, with hot laps set for 6:15 p.m. Central.





WHERE
• Knoxville Raceway is located in Knoxville, Iowa, at the north edge of town on State Road 14 (located on the Marion County Fairgrounds).



• Tri-City Speedway is located in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. Take I-270 to exit 4, then travel ½-mile south on SR 203, then head east.


TICKETS

• On Friday, June 6 at Knoxville Raceway, general admission tickets for adults will be $25, with general admission tickets for children $12.50. Reserved tickets for adults will be $27, with reserved tickets for children $13.50.



• On Saturday, June 7 at Knoxville Raceway, general admission tickets for adults will be $25, with general admission tickets for children $12.50.
