Knoxville Raceway Tickets to Help Attica Rebuild!

June 2, 2008 – Knoxville, Iowa – Knoxville Raceway will donate a portion of each ticket sold during the World of Outlaw’s event this weekend at the historic track. The two day event on June 6 and 7 is expected to draw as many as 20,000 spectators and fans for two great nights of racing.

“When unfortunate things like this happen we must all be prepared to step in and help where we can.” Stated Bob Riggen, Board President. “One of our constant objectives is to benefit the economy and residents of Marion County and this is just one small way in which we can help.”

Attica, a small unincorporated town in Southern Marion County, was hit by an F2 tornado late last week which destroyed the town’s Fire House, and several homes. The funds generated from Knoxville Raceway will be used to help rebuild the town's firehouse. Knoxville Raceway will also set up an area where spectators may donate as well.

The World of Outlaw’s event begins at 6:45 pm this Friday and Saturday. This will be the Outlaw’s last stop in Knoxville before the 48th Annual SuperClean Knoxville Nationals in August. Tickets can be purchased on line at www.knoxvilleraceway.com or at the Knoxville Raceway ticket office.
