Knoxville Nationals Wing and Tire Rules

The following are rules regarding wings and tires for the 2008 360 Knoxville Nationals and the 410 Knoxville Nationals:

410 Wings Only: All wings must have square center foils. Either dipped wings (2 1/2” max) and or flat top wings with a 1” 90 degree wickerbill will be legal for the 2008 Knoxville Nationals. 90 degree 1” wickerbill are allowed on any FRONT WING. For the Nationals side panels must be square with the top two corners set at 90 degrees with no variance. The maximum allowed turnout on all edges must not exceed 1 ¼” inches. In 2009 all top wings must be flat with square center foils and side panels. Rudders are allowed until further notice. Rudders will not be allowed in 2009.

Tires: For the 2008 Knoxville Nationals, 360 class will run on the ASCS right rear Hoosier Racing Tire, stamped Medium or Hard 105 X 16. The left rear minimum tire will be the d12, no rd 12’s allowed. (Except 90” or smaller left rears). Other left rears from different manufacturers are allowed with prior approval*.
For the 410 Nationals the right rear will be the sc15 Hoosier or harder. The left rear will be the d12 or harder, no rd 12’s allowed.( Except 90” or smaller left rears). Other left rears from different manufacturers are allowed with prior approval*.
*Good Year “NEW” 50, 100, or 200; American Racer 30 or harder

All competitors are required to utilize an in car radio that is compatible with Knoxville Raceway’s Raceiver System. Please bring your current compatible radio or purchase one in advance as supplies will be limited at the event.
