It’s Back to Racing at Knoxville with McKay Insurance/Allied Insurance Night!

(Bill W) McKay Insurance/Allied Insurance Night promises more great action from the Knoxville Raceway this Saturday night, August 23! The Dunkin family has done a wonderful job of track preparation the entire season, and in turn, the level of racing action has heightened. Though Danny Lasoski and Guy Forbrook have clinched the driver and owner 410 titles, there is plenty to yet be decided with two weeks of point racing remaining.

“The Tornado” Billy Alley has put together a solid season in his first year driving the SA Racing #22. The Lincoln, Nebraska native is second in 410 points. Third in points, Mark Dobmeier, is looking for more, and grabbed his third career Knoxville win earlier this season. He has been dominant at the Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota, and at his home track in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the River Cities Speedway. Justin Henderson has put a solid season together and is fourth in the standings. The Sioux Falls driver will be piloting a new car this weekend, the Gifford Motorsports #17G. A late surge has allowed defending track champion, Brian Brown to climb back into the top five in points. He will not be content to stay there.

There will be plenty on the line for “Zoom Zoom” Dusty Zomer, Skip “Action” Jackson, “The Mile High Kid” Davey Heskin, Calvin Landis, and Jake “The Snake” Peters, as all hope to improve their positions as well! Each spot carries prestige and cash, so they will have the foot to the floor on Saturday!

Matt Moro has built a 99 point lead in the 360 class. Moro has been consistent all season. Gregg Bakker, who won the first two features of the year here, is still within reach of his first Knoxville title. The Sioux Falls native is a two-time Huset’s 410 track champion. Josh Higday will wheel the family #24 the last two weeks, and still has a shot at his second consecutive Knoxville Championship Cup. Brett Mather and Jesse Giannetto, who sits second in the owner point standings will be ready to climb the ladder as well!

Don’t miss the action at Knoxville Raceway this Saturday night! We’ll see you at the Knoxville Raceway!
